OFNTSC COVID-19 Action Update – March 27, 2020

These are unprecedented times unlike any the OFNTSC have experienced in its 25-year existence. We urge all First Nations to following the media updates and listen to the provincial and federal health officials.

If any First Nation requires support with respect to operating their critical community infrastructure, or is in an emergency situation that requires training, we urge you to connect with OFNTSC staff to discuss resources and options.

Ensuring the safety of OFNTSC staff is our top concern at this time. We will make our staff available to support First Nations on a case by case basis as this situation unfolds.

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) supports First Nations Communities in Ontario by providing technical advisory services in the following areas:

• Emergency Planning • Engineering • Environment • Fire & Safety • Fuel Systems Management • Housing • Infrastructure • Water and Wastewater • Operations and Maintenance

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation understands the importance of supporting each other and promoting health in First Nations communities to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide links to information and resources that may be helpful to First Nations on our website www.ofntsc.org.
